We are partnering again with Owen’s Comforts of Christmas to make fleece blankets for Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House this year!
Donate your time and hands to provide a warm comfort to children who are in the hospital over the holidays and their families. We will learn to make fleece tie blankets and hear from 10-year-old Owen about why he decided to start this charity.
Bringing your own fabric is very much appreciated. You will need two 1.5 yard pieces of fleece (3 yards total) for each tie blanket. Get creative with coordinating colors and patterns for Side A and Side B! A limited supply of free kits will be available for those who do not bring their own. You are also welcome to drop off fleece at the Art Center before the event even if you can’t make it!
We will have snacks, coffee, and tea available. Feel free to bring your own food and beverage to enjoy during your blanket making.
