DESCRIPTION:Join Instructor Jennifer from the Upper Sandusky Free Event Wear and Costume Pantry to learn one of the most-used dress alteration options! During this FREE class she will teach us how to hand sew loops using ribbon to make a lace up back. This is a great way to adjust the fit on a dress that is too small or add new flair! Please bring your dress and matching ribbon/thread you would like to learn with. We will have some formal dress samples and supplies available for those who don’t have one they want to learn with (yet!). The Pantry will be available leading up to this event if you are in need of an outfit for an upcoming occasion. \nAfter the lacing alteration class from 12-1\, we will have fashion-focused Open Studio workshop time until 4 p.m. The Art Center sewing machines\, cutting mat\, scissors\, brushes\, etc. will be available for use to work on things like hemming\, fixing straps\, or creating anything you want! All skill levels of writers are welcome\, even if you hate writing poetry…especially if you hate writing poetry! \nWe will wrap up our celebration of National Poetry Month on the last Monday with an open mic where all writers are invited to share their work.
