DESCRIPTION:Master Roger teaches defensive tai chi\, a dancing martial art he has learned from a Japanese master. The style is a family style\, traceable back to Chen Wangting. It is taught Japanese style\, without katas\, and is trained by reaction. As it uses the opponent’s energy\, balance\, and stance against them\, learning\ndoes not require strength or speed. It is suitable for all adults of all abilities. \nThis class is for adults 18+ and will require a waiver to be signed to participate. Donations are appreciated but not required. Please bring a water bottle – refills are available. Advance sign up is not necessary – feel free to stop by and observe a class!

SUMMARY:Blanket Making with Owen's Comforts of Christmas for Hospital Donation
DESCRIPTION:We are partnering again with Owen’s Comforts of Christmas to make fleece blankets for Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House this year!\nDonate your time and hands to provide a warm comfort to children who are in the hospital over the holidays and their families. We will learn to make fleece tie blankets and hear from 10-year-old Owen about why he decided to start this charity. \nBringing your own fabric is very much appreciated. You will need two 1.5 yard pieces of fleece (3 yards total) for each tie blanket. Get creative with coordinating colors and patterns for Side A and Side B! A limited supply of free kits will be available for those who do not bring their own. You are also welcome to drop off fleece at the Art Center before the event even if you can’t make it! \nWe will have snacks\, coffee\, and tea available. Feel free to bring your own food and beverage to enjoy during your blanket making.
